Proton in Adelaide?

This is one of my colleague's car. Look familiar? Haha... =D It's Proton Satria.

Don't think that my colleague (the owner of this car) is Malaysian. He's actually Vietnamese. I think he mentioned to me before that he bought this car from a Malaysian student who had graduated and went back Malaysia.

He bought this car about 1 year ago. Guess how much he bought it for? $3000. He gave me a lift once. And when I was in the car, everything just seems so familiar ('Cause my home has a Proton as well). HHrrmm.... Miss my country, my family, and my friends!

Shopping, shopping and shopping!

These are the chololates that me and dad bought. Dad bought the top one that wrap in blue (I think souvenier for his friend back in Malaysia). The 2 Cocoa Farm's chocolate and the fruit flavoured chews (strawberry, mango, and orange flavour) are 'sugar free' that me and sis. Simone bought for grandma. The rest I just bought it for testing. Haha.. Wrap in golden color one
is 'hazelnut and honey', brown color is 'coffee liquer', pink color is 'cherry liquer' and the peach color of course is 'peach schnapps'. Lastly is the long orange color 1 which is 'peanut brittle finger'.

Few shops away, I saw there were a lot of people around. And I went to have a look as well and saw the $1 and $2 bargain sales. I bought all the items for $1/item except the pink necklace for $2.

Then, I went into the Eye Candy Shop as they are having a big SALES as well. Anything with the "Eye Candy" tag on top are 50% discount. The rest are 10%-40% discount. I bought these few necklace to bring back Malaysia for souvenier. Nice?

And here are the earrings that I bought (some for myself and some as present/souvenier). Hehe... =P

Gosh, shop too much! Gotta stop spending too much money. Or else, going broke !

Birthday present and souvenier for my BF (Best Friend)

Here are some souvenier plus birthday present that I bought for my best friend, John. SSsshhhh... Don't let anyone know! I want to give him a suprise. Hehe... =P

Back to school Sales!

Not that I'm going back to school. It's just the sales that we are having here currently, as all the schools are starting soon. Therefore, all the school's need such as school bags, pencil cases, note books, highlighters and many more related items are on sales.

These were some stationeries that I bought for myself and some for my youngest sis. Wynelle for her Uni. next month. Good bargain! Great satisfaction!!! =D

Adding a middle name?

Yes! 'Cause whenever I wanted to buy those pen, keychain or cup with my name on it, I can't find any. Perhaps my name "Yvonne" is not that common. Therefore, always ended up in disappointment everytime whenever I saw a rack of named keyring and tried to search on it.
The other day, I was talking with my colleauges and they were discussing about their middle name. Some said they prefer their middle name more, whereas, some are not.

Last few days, when I saw the shop that I mention earlier that sell a lot of things with name on it, the idea of adding a middle name come across my mind. And I thought, "Why not?"

BRAIN is like ....SEARCHING....SEARCHING...SEARCHING ...ANGELINA? (REJECTED) ....ANGIE? (REJECTED) ...SEARCHING...SEARCHING...SEARCHING ...ISABELLA?

Analysis: ISABELLA => Isa, Sa, Bella, Bell. (Nickname)
BELLA means "beautiful" (in Italian) which suits my chinese given name (which
means beautiful smile).

...ISABELLA? (ACCEPTED) Congratulations on your sucessful registration!

Yeah!!! Yvonne Isabella Chong. My youngest sister has a middle name as well. Hers? Wynelle Crystal Chong. Haha... =D

Hello Kitty! (My Fav.)

In the same shop, they sell a lot of "Hello Kitty" stuff. Wanted to buy most of them but too expensive. =(
So, ended up just took some photos back instead of buying it.

"Hello Kitty" diary set.

"Hello Kitty" note book, note pad, stickers, and shoe laces.

BIG "Hello Kitty" soft toy.

"Hello Kitty" umbrella.

Names?

I went to Hollywood Plaza Shopping Centre the other day during my off day. Then, in this particular shop, I saw a lot of stuff with names on it. Here are just a few that I had taken the photos of.

Mini socks of a palm size. Just add water! And it will expands to a pair of full size socks. This is specially dedicated for JOHN, my best friend.

This is a phone sock and a phone strap. Specially dedicated for my cousin, Grace. Ooouhhh....!!!

And this is a big pencil case with name and little kitten. Cute? Dedicated once again to my cousin, GRACE. Wooohoooo!!! (Big applause!)

Last but not least, hand bands set with name. And again for my special cousin, GRACE!!! Go, Go, Go; Oleh, Oleh, Oleh!!!

Gigantic Shirt!

Last few weeks there were a soccer match and Skycity had a so called "Game day" which allowed customer to wear soccer match T-shirt and jeans which are usually not allowed for the dress code. On the same day, just at the entrance were some set up for the celebration of the "Game day". One of those that catched my attention was this GIGANTIC T-SHIRT hanging at the top of the stage.

Susu Cap Junjung

Today just got back to day shift. As usual, after finish work at 8pm I will wait for the bus at King William Street. However, today dad waited for me to go home together. As we got into the bus, we smell something stinky. Then only we saw there were a bunch of "Aboriginal" in the bus.

Dirty, stinky and noisy. That's not it! Half way through, I saw this "Abo." lady take her 'boobs' out and feed her kids. After left boob, then right boob. Finding it disgusting but funny, my thoughts of writing it in the blog had just pop up. Telling dad about my intention of snapping the photos had suprised him. He told me better not to as if they find out, I'll be in deep shit.

Convincing dad that it won't be a problem as I had put my camera shot mode in silence and had off the flash as well. Then, without anyone noticing I 'curi-curi' snap just this one photo. Hehe... ;P Very challenging! Susu Cap Junjung? Better watch out next time before you guys do something disgusting or embarassing! Make sure no one around with camera or worst, with camera phone.

Cocktail night!

As usual, finished work at 8pm. Then decided to have a drink with Gary (the Taiwanese that I mentioned before) and William (another Taiwanese student studying English). Thought where should we go for a drink... ?-I

Suddenly realize that I got a cocktail voucer. 2 for 1 $8 cocktail. 1 cocktail would normally cost around $14-18 per glass.

This is the voucher... ;P

The guy that take orders and make cocktail look so alike "Edward Cullens" in the movie "Twilight". So, I took the photo. Haha.. =D

Maybe I'm too obsessed with "Twilight". After the movie, I'm currently reading it's novel as well.

This is the three cocktail that we order. From left to right: Royal M., French Sin, and White Chocolate Martini.

You must be wondering: Since 1 voucher got 2 cocktail, how come only three here? 'Cause we double the order for White Chocolate Martini. Hehehe... =P

Tried to take their photo but let them discover before I got a chance to snap the photo. See? They tried to cover the face. Ishh... *Mission failed* #$^&*&%^

Souvenier from customer/friend.

I met a Taiwanese student, Gary, at work few months ago. He is currently studying English. Therefore, he has a lot of free time and came to casino a lot. So, can be consider regular customer. Haha... =D

He went back to Taiwan for holiday last few weeks. He just got back on 01.01.09. He bought me some specialty from Taiwan, "Pineapple Pastry". Yummy!!!

'Chia Te' might be famous "Pineapple Pastry" factory/company. Haha... =P

The first photo is the bag. Inside the bag was this box of "Pineapple Pastry" box.

Inside the box contains 12 all individually pack "Pineapple Pastry".

New Year's Eve & New Year

This year New Year's Eve I worked day shift. I finished at 8pm. While waiting for dad and sis. Simone to come down to city, I went to opposite pub (Strath) with my friend. Then around 10:30pm, I went back to Skycity to meet up with dad and sis.

As I reached there, I saw a really long 'Q'. I just can't believe how long was the 'Q'. I think it was about 200m long. I had no idea how long would that take for me to get in. So, thinking might just get in from another entrance at the other side. Without wanting to get another disappointment, I tried to ask the security there if I can get in from another entrance. He said 'NO'. He then asked me if I work there and told me that I can go in from the VIP entrance which had a quick access. NO LONG 'Q'... Hehe... =P Thank you, thank you!

After meeting up with dad and sis., we headed to Cafe Junction for dinner. Oh... By the way, same as last year we got FREE face painting!

Look at my face painting! Nice? Butterfly on my face and flowers on my hand... "="

Sis. went down first look for William and told us to meet them up at the ground floor later on for the count down. Unfortunately, half way through to the ground floor the countdown start. We might as well countdown near the balcony bar on first floor. =C

They all stay at Skycity to gamble a little bit and I went to Pizza House with my friends for some pizzas and then to Strath to play pokies. We all lost money that night! =C Huhuh...

Just let me say!

With all that I had went through (good and bad) all these years God had never abondon me. From a faithful Christian to a lost lamb, God is there to lend His helping whenever I fell down. He reminded me of His excisting all the time. He is like the sheperd and we are His lamb. In this New Year 2009, I hope my relationship with Him will be closer and closer just as before. At this very moment, I want to let Him know how grateful I am and how much I love Him as my heavenly Father. I would like to use this song "Just Let Me Say!" to give thanks to Him. =D

Yum Cha!

Today, me, dad, sis. Simone and William go Yum Cha together. Since dad came, we never got a chance to bring him to go Yum Cha. Therefore, we decided to set a time out and bring dad go.

Waking up early in the morning (which is usually a hard thing for me 'cause I'm not kind of morning person), getting ready to catch a train to the city together. Thought that we will go to 'Ding Hao' (the Yum Cha place that we usually go). But then sis. told me she book the one across the street. Just to try out new place.

When we went in, there was this supervisor who allocate customers to tables looks so familiar. Then only I recalled he was one of the customer in the place I work. So, I greeted him and asked how come didn't see him for quite a while. He told me 'cause I didn't give him to win. (Btw, it was just a joke). I then replied, "I'll give you win next time but you have to give me discount later on." He just smiled and lead us to an empty table.

While waiting for the food, we started to take some photo.

Me and dad.

Across the table were sis. Simone and her bf, William.

Not long after, waitresses coming out with a small trolley or tray with varieties of 'Dim Sum'. We got some beef stripe, salt and pepper squid, 'ha gau' (prawn dumpling... My favourite!), 'ha gau' with scallop, chicken feet, 'zhu cheong fan' (rice noodle roll), vegetarian roll, mango pudding, durian pastry, portugese egg tart and durian egg tart.

Here is 2 plate of 'ha gau', 2 plate of 'ha gau' with scallop and a plate of chicken feet.

This is vegeterian roll. Didn't think it's very tasty but sis. like it.

This is durian pastry. Yummy! Anything with durian? I'll have a go!

Just before we finished off the last bit, the supervisor came by and asked if everything is ok. Then, with a smile I asked again, "Any discount?" (Not that I expect I would get any!) With a smile back and not saying anything, he wrote on the order slip "-10%". Hahaha... Unexpectable!

Bill was paid. We were getting ready to leave. 'He' was standing somewhere near the door. As we walked towards the door, I stop and said,"Thank you. By the way, what's your name again?" (Haha... Flirting!) He told me, "Samson".

"Ok, then. Will see you soon! Bye."

He just smiled back, while I was heading to the exit.

Thank God I Found You!

Don't get me wrong here! The "YOU" that mention here is my very best friend that I had lost contact for quite a long time. Not the other half that I'm still searching... "."

It started yesterday when I actually had my normal 15 mins. break in between. I had nothing to do during my break and therefore decided to go in the staff lounge to check my 'facebook' with the computer inside there. Once I sign in my 'facebook', I saw there were 2 messages in my inbox. Without delay, I opened the inbox straight away and saw that 2 messages were from my long lost best friend, CINDY! :-I ( I nearly cried out). I tried to find her for ages since few years back when I just arrived Adelaide but failed. Every few months, I'll tried to call the home phone number and the mobile number that she used to gave me ages ago when I studied in Sydney. However, everytime failed to get her. Leaving me with disappointment. Thinking that should I contact Telstra to find her new phone number or should I actually write back to Indonesia to ask her parents for her new contact?

My feeling was like kind of mixture (happy, sad, exciting, etc.). Words just CAN'T explain how glad I am to found her. After work, I got home and give her a call straight away. Unfortunately, no one at home and I just had to leave a message in her answering machine with my contact number. Once again, hanging up the phone with disappointment. About 20 min. later, my hp rang. OMG! Cindy rang me... We were so excited calling each other name and talk for about 10 mins. before we actually ask for msn address and chat there. Few years back a lot of good and bad that had happen to both of us. Heaps of catch up to do!

We chat online in msn for about 3 hours. Just before we dc, I called her for about another 20 mins. on the hp before we actually hang up and go back to talk in msn for another 10-15 mins. or so. Then, we kept saying if we don't put a BIG full stop none of us we actually go to sleep until like drop dead in front of the computer as our excitement to find each other back after so many years was like burning inside us. So, can't wait till I actually have a reunion with her next month in Perth. We promised this time we'll take hundreds and hundrends of photos as before we didn't manage to take much photos together. Thank God I Found YOU! >.<
