Surprise Pressie!!!

It's been nearly 2 weeks since Regan last gave me a lift home due to different roster. And today we had a same shift again and he came and pick me up to work. He was a bit late today. Perhaps due to the daylight saving yesterday. (We have to forward the time for an hour.) As soon as I got in the car, he told me he got my pressie. I misunderstood. And just gave him a confused look with a big "Huh?". Hahaha... ;P So, he repeated himself again. I was really suprised and excited to know what he got for me.
He tried to search behind his car seat for the pressie while driving but can't find it. So, I told him to drive carefully and search later. But I was curious and tried to peek at the back seat but haven't see a thing yet and he already stop me from looking. When the car stop at one of the traffic light, he found the pressie under his seat and gave it to me. Guess what he bought for me... ^.* HELLO KITTY MUG. Hehehe... ^.^ Other than thank you, I really don't know what to say. Really happy!!! So sweet of him.
My Snoopy Mug at work was broken few days ago and I was planning to buy another one but just no time for shopping yet. What a good timing!!! The only thing is I have to remember to put it back in my locker every time finish work. Don't want it to be stolen or broken. Lol...

Regan's Birthday

2.45pm
Wake up around 2.45pm and sms Nicole and tell her I'll sms her again when I'm ready to be pick up to her house to ready the stuff for Regan's birthday. Before going to shower, I started to boil some rice to cook fried rice later on at Nicole's house. When I'm nearly done, I sms Nicole to come and pick me up around 3.45pm.
When we arrived at Nicole's house, Michael already finished pumping all the balloons. The whole floor was fill with colorful balloons. We did called Regan to make sure he'll arrived at 6pm. We started to get the food ready while Michael went to his parents' house. Then, we set up the birthday banner.
Regan arrived slightly early. We started with dinner. Then, we gave an empty wrapped layers box for Regan and told him that it was a present from us. It's a bit cruel though. Having him to unwrapped like layers and layers of wrapping to find out at the end that it was an empty box. Sorry, babe!!! It's just for fun. Hope you didn't get upset...
After that, we played passing parcel. The parcel was prepared by Nicole. Regan's present was in the middle and in between layers were different sort of small pressies that we will get when the music stop and we have to unwrap a layer. We all ended up with few small pressies. The pressie inside that Nicole got him was a X-Box game.
Next, while me and Michael get ready the next game; Nicole show Regan's the "Family Guy" cartoon. Remember the game "Pin the tail"? Yeah, our next game is kind of similar. Instead of pinning the tail, we pin the hand. Hahaha... =D We had took one of the photo from our Tassie trip to enlarge it purposely for this game.

We went to shop for the party stuff and food. Then, head back to Nicole's house. While me and Nicole searching for the sponge cake recipe to make Regan's birthday cake, Michael prepare the dinner.

This is the dinner Michael made us: Ravioli.
After dinner, me and Nicole make a smaller version of sponge cake to try out before making a bigger size one. Taste not bad. So, we go ahead and make a bigger size one.
Tadaa!!! This is the bigger version of the sponge cake.
When the cake cool down, we start to put the icing sugar.
Then, we made some color whipped cream. Purple: Nicole's favourite; Green: Regan's favourite; Pink: My favourite.
Before making decoration on the cake, we tried it out on a plate. ^.^
Finally, the cake is done. ^.*
Here is the mess that we made from making the cake. And Michael have to clean it up for us. Haha... :P

The Ugly Duckling.
One bright spring morning a mother duck was pleased that her eggs had begun to hatch. "Cheep! Cheep!" chirped the chicks. Mother duck was very proud of her fluffy ducklings - but one of them looked different from the others. "Quack! quack! How can that duckling be one of mine?" she wondered. "She's so big and ugly!" All the other chicks were mean and teased Sammy, the ugly duckling. They didn't want to play with her. Poor Sammy was very sad. "I don't belong here," she said.
One day she packed her bags and left home to look for someone to be her friend. Soon she came to a pond, where some other ducks were playing. But they didn't want to be her friends either. Poor Sammy was very unhappy and waddled away.
The next day an old woman saw the ugly duckling. "I think I'll cook her for my tea," she said. She tried to catch her but Sammy ran away as fast as she could. Poor Sammy was so sad that she hid herself by the riverbank all through the summer.
One day she watched some beautiful swans fly past her. "I wish I were as magnificent as a swan," she sighed. That winter it began to snow. Sammy was cold and all alone. Soon a kind farmer found her and decided to take her home and look after her. "At long last I've found a friend," smiled Sammy.
When the spring came, the farmer took Sammy back to the river. She looked at her reflection in the lake and lo and behold, what did she see? "I'm not an ugly duckling any more. I'm a beautiful swan!" she cheered.
"Look at that swan!" said the children in the town. She's the finest of them all." Sammy had never been so happy in all her life.
The End.
#I have always thought (and still are) that I'm just like Sammy, the ugly duckling. No one likes/loves me because I'm not pretty, smart or even rich. Since I was a kid, I had already lost my self-confiidence even up until now. Therefore, this story always reminded me about myself as an ugly duckling. Why some of my friends said I'm a weak person. I can't stand for myself when someone tried to step on me. I think this might because of lack of self-confidence. However, I really hope that one day I can turn into a swan just as Sammy did. >_<
